Close to perfection

I really like the idea and the ui, but the execution is sometimes causes frustrations… For example, there is a couple second delay between pressing on check and hearing voice (does it come from fetching audio? Can’t you just prefetch it once I open a sentence…), when you get daily 10 points it sometimes show keyboard over it and you can’t remove it without closing app, and all animations could be a bit faster honestly.

Bonne application mais quelques bugs encore

L’application est simple et intuitive, par rapport à d’autres applications de langues, je la placerai dans mon top 3.
Mais il y a plusieurs bugs sur l’application mobile:
1- Les exercices d’écoute ne fonctionne pas, j’ai un écran blanc à la place.
2- Il y a une mauvaise synchronisation entre le travail effectué sur ordinateur et sur mobile.
Au passage j’ai pris l’abonnement Lifetime.
J’ai déjà communiquer le problème au service client, j’attends donc la future mise à jour.

Really good

I love using speakly it’s easy and intuitive. I use it for German at the moment but I definitely plan to use it for other languages. I never started a language on Speakly so it would be interested to see how it it as a beginner.
Using chunking makes it so easy to remember the words, the practice of pronunciation is very useful and I love listening to the little stories all the time.
A little bug is when you get a new music recommendation, when you click continue studying you automatically fail the next word cause it’s like you didn’t answer the question (am I clear ?).
Do you plan on adding languages ? I’m studying Japanese and have others on my mind for the future and I would love to be able to use Speakly for every language I ever learn.

Apprentissage intuitif

Le point fort de cette app c’est qu’elle permet d’absorber la langue de façon assez naturelle.
Les mots ne sont jamais isolés. Les temps ne sont jamais appris explicitement, ils sont juste montrés au milieu de phrases et on les acquiert sans réfléchir. Les traductions ne sont pas forcément montrées, ce qui évite de faire une association 1 pour 1, mais on peut bien sûr demander la traduction si on le souhaite.
Ceux qui ont conçu cette app ont clairement bien compris comment on acquiert une langue.
L’app a tout de même ses défauts. Les textes parlés utilisent un Text-To-Speech assez basique, ce qui donne une voix sans âme et surtout les intonations sont plates. De plus ça n’offre aucune diversité dans les accents.
L’app requiert une bonne résolution d’écran, donc ça passe bien sur tablette, mais pas du tout sur smartphone (à moins d’avoir un smartphone avec un écran très résolu). Certains textes sont tronqués tandis que des boutons sont tout bonnement inaccessibles. C’est vraiment impensable en 2021. Ça rend l’app tellement inutilisable par moments que ce défaut à lui seul mérite d’enlever 2 étoiles.

A good app but too much bug

I paid 99 euros for this application. Too much freeze, the server doesn't respond. Very complicated and frustred for learning a new language.... I can't recommend this app.

Good but so buggy

This app is one of the best, if not the best, that I’ve found for language learning. And I’ve tried them all. I’ve paid for it and I enjoy it, but.....
It is so buggy!!! The same bug - where it freezes / goes blank / buffers with no end - has been there for months!
Why is it taking so long to fix??
Or why not offer the full range of features for free whilst you still have this bug??
I paid for it so I could have the talking feature - love it.
But goodness me, please fix this bug!!!

Amazing language learning app

I discovered this app through Lindie Bottes and it was a very good surprise. This app has very good way of teaching you words and expressions through real real context and a lot of different exercises to practice your writing, listening, speaking and reading skills.
Its absolutely amazing and the best way to practice a language a little everyday without having to look for the materials yourself (and thus, actually learn new words efficiently rather than trying to build your own lessons and be demotivated very quickly)
There’s one thing that bother me and I think I’m not the only one: the robotic voices. That’s a BIG problem. I’m studying Italian and Russian. Russian is perfect because each sentence has been recorded by someone with a specific intonation. When I began italian, I was a bit surprised and honestly quite put off by the robotic voices.
It would be really great to change that! And if you need French speakers, I’d be glad to help if necessary:)
