Groove Rider GR-16 is a professional step-sequenced groove box, inspired by professional hardware drum machines and rhythm boxes. It has a powerful Poison-202 based two oscillator synthesizer engine, plus a big variety of included PCM drum samples, insert/send/master effects, arpeggiator, automation recording, modulator, ADSR and filter block, and more! Built-in factory pattern library includes patterns in different music styles, which will inspire you (the list will be appended with the regular updates). Check out the patterns demo video:

One remarkable feature of GR-16 is that all the controls are arranged on one screen, just like on a real groove box device! It lets you access almost all useful parameters from the one screen. Forget about numerous sub-windows and dialogs, which ruined your inspiration in another musical apps! Groove Rider is the fastest path from your imagination to reality!
You can use GR-16 as a ready-to-go realtime musical instrument (groove box) in your jam sessions together with Ableton Link feature to synchronize it with your other music gear. Groove Rider is also very handy for quickly sketching your musical ideas, allowing you to instantly record them directly by using the Record function. Making music becomes easy and fun, in contrast with boring note drawing process and dealing with tons of files and expensive plugins in the DAW's! Bug fixes:
- sample folders with dots in their names were not seen - fixed;
- AUv3: "Start with Host" setting was not working/displaying correctly;
- AUv3: if you solo one part and then reopen plugin's window, solo will be cancelled - fixed;
- Copy/Paste Entire Part now pastes part's name too;
- pressing and holding the Part select, Mute, Erase, Trigger etc. buttons from the external midi controller (previously assigned via Midi Learn) was not working correctly: it would release when you touched some pads on the screen at the same time - fixed now;
- using with LaunchPad Pro: during playback, "Follow Cursor" function was not working (not updating the current bar) while app was in the background - fixed;
Other changes:
- you can now use EXIT button during playback to cancel jumping to the next pattern in case you have occasionally selected it;
- during pattern playback, if you occasionally touched the SONG mode button, you can now cancel it by tapping the SONG button again. EXIT button will work for this too;
- Revert to Saved: you can now use this function during pattern playback, no need to stop the pattern.

Electribe 2 améliorée
GR-16 est un « clone » d’Electribe 2 de Korg mélangeant des caractéristiques des deux versions (Synth et Sampler). Des possibilités ont été ajoutées, notamment sur l’édition des pas qui est plus poussée avec par exemple les trigs conditionnels.
Le synthé propose de nombreuses formes d’ondes différentes que vous pourrez sculpter avec tous les éléments d’un synthé soustractif traditionnel. L’ajout notable de tables d’ondes et d’ondes FM permettent des sonorités très variées.
La production est immédiate grâce à la facilité d’utilisation du séquenceur et la disponibilité en façade des contrôles les plus importants. Le mode song est également très utile.
Le son est de très bonne qualité et l’appli semble relativement peu gourmande en ressources (testé sur un iPad Pro 11 pouces 2021).
Je regrette cependant que le développeur, qui est seul je le rappelle et a donc réalisé un travail énorme, n’ait pas élargi le nombre de voix et d’effets disponibles par piste. On se retrouve avec les spécifications exactes de l’Electribe 2 (32 voix, un effet par piste et un effet master), qui pourraient à mon sens être plus étendues sur les iPads actuels.
Excellente appli de production musicale néanmoins !

Salut amis, j'ai cette appli depuis quelques heures. Je crois bien qu'elle n'a de limite que notre imagination et notre créativité. C'est juste une merveille. Simple, ergonomique et très claire. Rien n'est impossible. Je recommande vivement. Bravo !!!

On se demande comment un mec seul arrive à faire beaucoup mieux que les grosses companies de l’industrie musical...
S’il te plaît Dmitrij, peux tu rajouter une option pour couper morphing entre les tables d’onde pour avoir un son old school comme sur les premier PPG ou sur le Micro Wave Waldorf?Spacibo!

Just one thing or two..
First I would like that when I press record button and play notes on some part to record instantly like on electribe 2.this way I need to press record and then play and it is annoying and you lose steps while playing live.second is midi implementation with electribe 2.i just want to control parts and knobs except change pattern knob.it would be good to have separate option for that.i just want sometimes to change pattern on electribe2 not on grooverider.hope you will make this changes this is one of the best music app

Excellent!!
Rien a dire de plus, cette appli est phénoménale en tous point !!
Cependant, suite a un reset de mon iPhone et malgré un backup via iCloud, j’ai perdu la bank techno acheter auparavant. Est-ce possible de me la remettre ?
Nothing to say but perfect, but i did a recovery reset and then i lost the techno bank. Is there a way to get it back ?

what is missing NOW...to get REALLY BEST Grooving/arranger ?
MORE "usual bread and butter" instruments, since background could start more "normal", then editing sounds... anyway it's amazing easy, intelligent (somehow tricky classical synths way)
MIDI expected to drive(keys)pads,where there is still a mistake (bug?) in access: when midi 1 octave changed on (X)keyboard gets a useless mess result ...jumping only by 2 octaves or mute
direct midi access>>to pads on function KEYS selected could help to play midi (remote rather Its complement) exactly the function pads get on ipad screen& General effect no push >>
MIDI live keys output(missing) should be welcome to get 10 *** Live Midi should be checked to match friendly user ergonomics

Very complete, best APP: NOW playable the Musician's WAY : LIVE from any keyboard AND Midi Drums since there is velocity curve input to match their kind of expressivity ( so different!)

1)While this App works fine in AUM: THERE it is still missing its "handles" -available For Poison- (or most) IAA and AUE: AUM
allowing EXTERNAL quick choices: Midi input, CH, transpose and Midi zone limits.This saves time: avoiding to dig deep into Groover Menu where it's anyway available(screens consuming)
2)Still ONE best function settings to ADD using DRUMS Waves :
BETTER implementation to move<>Wave Start point to smooth played VELOCITY :Moving -late attack-drum Sample Start point velocity shifted back: to get PERFECT expressive drums:usually sampled with full LOUD stick attack =drum machine gun sound
drums sound more NATURAL having first over passed sampled REAL attack:recovering real start attack <<< back increasing dynamics : ( Drum secret weapon of Akaï Old Samplers !!!)
a MASTERPIECE ******program very enjoyable: NOT ONLY for push buttons "Musicians",but now also for MIDI Keyboard using (some) SYNTH poison features included , as well a dream' for midi DRUMS player

Ça sonne bien, c’est efficace, sans fioritures. Merci pour cette belle performance. Tout, est sur l’écran. On modèle les sons, on joue des pads, des gammes, des arpegiateurs, des effets et on se prend au jeu, d’en faire de la musique.

La meilleure Groove Box
C’est une Electribe... en mieux! Cette Groove Box dépasse iSpark, et elle va bénéficier de mises à jour régulière (on peut faire confiance au développeur de Poison 202)
