Description

Mela is a simple, elegant and modern recipe manager that syncs with iCloud.
SYNC
Sync your recipes with iCloud, either privately (default) or by sharing a recipe library with other iCloud users.
IN-APP BROWSER WITH LIVE PREVIEW
Quickly save a recipe while browsing: If Mela detects a recipe on the currently viewed page, it will be displayed in Mela's native recipe viewer*, on the same screen on the iPad and a swipe-left away on the iPhone. Want to add or view a recipe from outside of Mela? No problem, just use Mela's sharing extension.
FEEDS
Subscribe to your favorite recipe blogs to view all the recipes in Mela's native recipe viewer*.
COOK MODE
The cook mode makes it easy to follow all steps while cooking, displayed using a larger font to make sure everything stays readable even when you're not right in front of your device. You can add multiple recipes to the cook mode, easily letting you switch between them.
TIMERS
No need to switch to another app for setting up a timer. When in cooking mode, Mela let's you easily create and manage timers.
Timers come with support for Live Activities (iOS 16.1+).
SCANNER
Scan a recipe from a book: With the help of text recognition, you can just add it to your personal collection and view it in Mela's native recipe viewer, as any other recipe.
GROCERIES
Mela uses the Reminders.app to manage your grocery list. This has the advantage that you’re always able to access your grocery list on all your devices even if Mela is not installed on a specific device.
CALENDAR
Do your meal planning by using Mela's built-in calendar. It's managed by Calendar.app which also has the advantage that you're always able to access it on all your devices. There's also a widget, showing you the next planned meal from your calendar.
ORGANIZING
Recipes can be organized in categories, marked as “Favorite” or as “Want to Cook”.
PRINTING
Of course, Mela supports printing in case there’s a recipe you want to have on paper or save as PDF.
Please note:
If iCloud Sync is enabled (default), Mela will sync these items with iCloud:
- Recipes
- Browser bookmarks
- Subscription list (feeds)
Not synced:
- Feed recipe entries
- Browser history
Groceries are always stored in Reminders.app
Mela is free to download but will require a one-time purchase to unlock all features.
* Extracting recipes only works for websites that support this, most of them do.

APPLICATION PARFAITE

Quel bonheur cette application, pour moi il ne peut y avoir plus simple et fonctionnel. Tout les recettes sont classées et modifiables à volonté photos et textes. Si une recette me plait je l’ajoute en un clic et, si une amie me l’a réclame je lui envoie via l’application. Grand merci au concepteur, il a pensé à tout.

Je suis rarement enthousiasmé par une appli

Mais là !… Sur le Mac et sur l’iPhone. Ça vaut la dépense. Incorporer dans ses recettes ce qu’on vient de trouver sur le net, et par iCloud, le partager aussitôt. Fini de perdre les recettes trouvées par hasard et impossibles à retrouver. Super. + les recettes de ma mère recopiées (c’est plus besogneux, mais une fois sauvegardées, on sait où elles sont. Bravo et merci !

Wonderful

It’s a really wonderful app.
I love the design. The import function works like a charm.
Juste one little suggestion :
Can you add the possibility to add the quantity after the ingredients,
Milk 1 liter
If you do can do that the grocery list will have a better good.

Pas loin de la perfection

Très belle mise en page des pages web intégrées, le seul regret est la perte importante d’information par rapport au site initiale mais dans la fiche créée est préservée le lien web initial qui permet d’ouvrir le site d’origine dana l’application Mêla.
Le point à corriger est la perte de la sélection du nombre de personnes pour lesquelles la recette est à préparer cela a un impact direct sur les quantités de la liste des courses mise dans le panier.

Super, l’application, mais…

Je trouve cette application super pratique le seul bémol c’est que l’application se met en veille donc obligé de déverrouiller l’iPhone quand on cuisine à chaque fois avec les mains sales, pas très pratique à mon goût donc ça serait bien de trouver une solution à fin d’éviter de beurré l’iPhone à chaque fois.
Par exemple, avec l’application marmiton, elle ne se met pas en veille.
Donc ce serait bien d’en faire autant.
À ce moment-là, j’hésiterai pas à mettre 5 🌟

Une très belle application

Une application très esthétique et qui s’éloigne des designs convenus qui se développent et rien que pour cela, bravo !
C’est un vrai plaisir de l’utiliser au quotidien, elle est régulièrement mise à jour même sans un système d’abonnement et c’est à noter.

Sync iCloud doesn’t work

I’m so surprised because i like this app but i can’t synchronise recipe from my phone to my iPad (same icloud Account, same configuration). I have send a message from dev since many times, never receive an answer. I can’t send many stars about this.

Best recipes boom app there is

Easy to use, full-featured and elegant. A feature request: make it possible to link one recipe to another in the app, so that if my recipe requires rice or mashed potatoes, I can link these recipes, and their ingredients appear in the list.

This is the app I’ve been looking for since ever. I usually don’t post any ratings but this one deserves it. It just works, out of the box, without any complication what so ever. The import works wonders (in french and English), the UI/UX is great. No personal days is being used but the dev (thank you). If you need an app to manage your recipes, this is the one. Plain and simple. Great value for the price, of course.
