Steam Railway magazine has been the voice of the railway preservation movement for 35 years. We're 100 per cent steam enthusiasts - we just love anything to do with steam trains!
So, if it’s powered by steam and runs on rails, we'lll write about it in Steam Railway.
Every issue we will:
• Explore the steam rail preservation scene
• Uncover news: whether on heritage or main lines
• Bring you the latest on narrow gauge, industrial and Irish railways
• Report on the latest from the Carriage & Wagon works across the country
Each issue includes in-depth features on various topics – sometimes topical, sometimes random – but always of the highest quality.
The magazine also has some of the finest photographers in the business allied to it: the magazine is famous for its extensive use of emotive and atmospheric imagery throughout every issue.
PLUS: Our indispensable guide to forthcoming events is a big selling point of each issue, providing key calendar dates for unmissable gala events and rail tours, as well as society meetings and latest book and product reviews.

The new update is now available for download.
This update delivers improved performance on iOS 11, 12 and 13. It provides bug fixes that should reduce the occasional crashes users have reported just after the app is launched. Please note: we have ceased support for iOS 10 and before. If you are using iOS 10 and before, you shouldn't be able to install this update - please let us know if this is not the case.
