It requires players to use their knowledge of history, geography and attention to detail to guess the answer & pinpoint the moment of capture accurately.
Search for signs, language, flags, location, nature, internet top domains, or just about any clue that helps you to find the exacte year in which a photo was taken.
The Chronophoto game consists of picking the exacte year (+/- 10 years) in which the photograph at the top was taken. Once players believe they have found the correct answer, they press the submit button to discover if they managed to guess the right answer. If players are outside the minimum range, no points will be added.
The idea behind Chronophoto is to take advantage of all the information that photographs give, such as the style of clothing, the cars, the state of the streets, the quality of the image, and even famous people, such as presidents or artists, that appear in the photograph. This helps to reduce the margin of error and makes the game more challenging and engaging for players.
