Plantversify helps you track the variety of plants you eat each week. It's an easy-to-use app designed to minimise effort while helping you to improve your gut and overall health. Forget about looking for last week's shopping list, lost post-it notes, flicking through journals, or updating spreadsheets. Let Plantversify handle it all for you!
Why is eating a variety of plants important?
By including a variety of different plants in your diet you help nourish the trillions of microbes that live in your gut with different types of plant fibre, enhancing their diversity and activity. This not only boosts your gut health but also helps improve digestion, blood sugar regulation, and nutrient absorption. Furthermore, with 70% of your body's immune system living in your gut, the microbes in your gut microbiome play an important role in training your immune system about what to let in and what to keep out!
How many different plants should I eat each week?
In 2018, the American Gut Project—the largest study of its kind involving over 10,000 people worldwide—found that individuals consuming at least 30 different types of plants per week had a healthier and more diverse gut microbiome than those eating fewer varieties. For this reason, the default weekly target is set to 30, but you can customise this number to meet your personal needs. And remember that all edible plants—fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts & seeds, and herbs & spices—count towards your total.

Because we value data privacy as much as you do, all of the data you enter is stored on your phone only and it is not shared with anyone.
Will Plantversify be further developed?
Yes, absolutely. Our desire is to continually improve this product and we already have a number of additional features that we plan to release in the near future. If you have any suggestions for improvement, would like to request a feature, report an issue, or would simply like to say hello, we would love to hear from you!
