Généralement satisfait par grab hormis le fait que le prix annoncé est toujours en dessous du prix final payé, je crois qu’on préfère tous l’inverse, j’ai été extrêmement déçu par l’état d’esprit asiatique qui prends le dessus malgré le passage par cette application censée nous « protéger »! En effet, le driver m’a chargé de 35% de plus que le prix prévu. De bonne fois et en confiance j’ai payé mais quelle surprise en recevant le reçu!
Grab devrait mettre en place une signature électronique ou autre ça devient aberrant d’en arriver là!

Je deconseille fortement compter sur Grab pour une reservation a l'avance. On a fait ca pour aller a l'aeroport, on a failli louper notre vol a cause de Grab. Reservation ok jusqu'a l'heure exacte de reservation, aucune notification, chauffeur qui n'est pas la. On a du essayer de prendre un taxi en urgence dans la rue.

A Kuala Lumpur, c’est le mode de transport idéal (sauf peut-être aux heures de pointe). Les conducteurs (et conductrices) sont sérieux, ponctuels, serviables voire amicaux. J’ai toujours voulu donner un pourboire mais c’est souvent accepté avec surprise ce qui me fait dire que cela ne doit pas être fréquent. De la part de touristes occidentaux, c'est pourtant sûrement une manière de faire durer un système très pratique.

Grab a augmenté ses prix à Bangkok depuis le départ d’Uber. C’est parfois 2/3x plus cher qu’un taxi ou une moto en direct. Ils vous abondent de codes promos qui ne marchent pas (« sold out »), on a un peu l’impression d’être pris pour un pigeon. Et attention quand vous mettez à jour l’application, ça efface les infos de votre carte, vous pensez payer par carte et vous devez sortir du cash...

I honestly don’t know how grab has won over uber in Asia. I do not know whether the drivers are just lazy or if there are not enough drivers but the waiting time to get a grab is extremely long. And overly expensive during peak hour where getting a normal cab can be three times cheaper. I’ve been trying to book a grabcar for over 30minutes and no one has yet accepted. Step up your game and learn from Uber where getting a car was guaranteed.

I used grab for 3 years and was perfectly happy until I received in-app message yesterday - profile suspended. No reason given, just one button to appeal and no where to type in any message/ additional info.
Next day, text message received my case and booking history were reviewed and suspension confirmed permanently for a ‘suspicion’ of breaching the T&C’s. No explanation, no fact, no contact number for further enquiry. Be it known I have cancelled no more than 3 rides in 3 years of use, last time being 1 month ago when the driver who had accepted the booking called me to haggle double-fare for the pick-up. And I am the problem? Grab, GO GET STUFFED!!! Disgraceful!!!

so needed to cancel in order to avoid these situations & the customer service/support was not able to reply to our questions and just block the account during 24h...
Grab was able to buy Uber in South East Asia but if the company is not able to provide a 5 star service, what is the purpose?

J’ai hate de terminer mes credits pour desinstaller l application. Les temps d arrivee sont juste fantaisistes, et ca empire quand on mets des credits (temps estime a 6min pendant parfois plus de une demi here, pas de service client), les conducteurs annulent souvent les courses. En Indonésie, il est facile de trouver un chauffeur Grab à Java. Par contre à Bali c’est une autre histoire... les conducteurs locaux font la guerre à Grab donc il y en a malheureusement très peu.
Pas de paiement carte, seulement cash mais les conducteurs ne cherchent pas à arnaquer. Et en Malaisie et Thaïlande jamais eu de problème!

C’est très intéressant pour les tarifs mais par contre les chauffeurs ne sont pas tous sérieux. Ils vous demandent quasi systématiquement de payer plus cher avant de vous récupérer et si vous refusez ils annulent la course et vous êtes en galère.
En Indonésie, les gens boycottent GRAB et UBER car ils estiment qu’il sont sous payés, ce qui n’est évidemment pas faux. Sachez que pour une course à 20K rupiah chez GRAB, un taxi local coûte beaucoup plus cher, 80K ou 100K rupiah environ.
L’astuce c’est de leur dire que vous contacterez le développeur de GRAB si jamais ils ne viennent pas et là comme par magie ils acceptent votre course. 😏

Never had any trouble with any driver, bike or car. Always complaisant and helpful even when there was some wrong address (when a hostel moves and forgets to change it for example...).

So in my order they did a mistake and after that it was impossible to contact either the driver either the restaurant.

What a horrible piece of user experience this app is. First of all it keeps interrupting you with pop up ads for other stuff even though you’re trying to book a paying service! Then the whole system is awfully unreliable. Drivers on the mal are never moving. The app will tell you they’re 10 minutes away and 30 seconds later you’ll get an angry driver messaging you that he’s arrived and has been waiting for a while. Look at the app while you’re in transit, you’ll see your GPS position and the vehicle you’re in are totally not in sync, the vehicle being almost never updated and barely moving. So clearly it’s a software issue on the server’s side. Very poor engineering. They should have licensed the technology from Uber!

Un calvaire, nous attendons 1 heure à chaque fois, les chauffeurs annulent tout le temps, des fois, ils nous disent qu’ils sont sur place mais on ne les voit pas !
Ils acceptent, et ensuite me demande d’annuler, ou ils me demandent plus cher ! C’est tout simplement du vol !
Lorsque j’annule à leur volonté, visiblement, c’est moi qui empathie, du coup je suis un mauvais client, et je paye plus cher !!!
J’ai enregistré ma carte bleue, j’ai du payer pour ça, et dorénavant le paiement par carte ne fonctionne plus !!!!

This app have a few bad points. The one that bother me the most is the waiting time, I have waited every time 2to 5 times the waiting time that they said. Sometimes when you want to make a reservation on the map you will see a few cars in the streets near by but at the end you can wait more than 30 minutes.
Since uber left Vietnam, the prices have not stop to increase. I use to pay 60.000 VND two months ago to go to work, nowadays I pay a minimum of 90.000 VND. Which is a 50% increase in two months of difference. (And I am referring to peak hours).
Something that they need to improve is the possibility of changing the destination even if the booking was already made.

I’ve been using Grabcar as a transportation to go back to my home from my hostel. And I’ve noticed that some grab drivers charge the toll fee and some don’t. Which sometimes is abit annoying. Because I never know how much I have to pay. It’d be cool if y’all include toll charge fee in the payment before booking, aite. Thanks!

Drivers are very unprofessional (not all of them). Many happened to be quite rude or taking longer ride. I reported one driver to customer service because this one was beyond rude. They messaged me that they called him and found that he had « a weird voice » but was not rude to them (yeah sure he is going to be rude to a Grab rep), case closed. Not only this specific driver was rude but he made us pay toll fee twice (was not necessary if he optimized his itinerary) and made us late (google map announced 10min it took us more than 25 without traffic jam). Grab customer service failed to correct the situation. The other concurrent app provides better service, drivers and is not pricier (I always compare before booking). And rewards system is useless and promo codes are always « fully redeemed ». This app is a waste of time with the most unprofessional customer service.
