Kevin was a bit confused by the direction of the conversation. “You want me to be your girlfriend?”

Mieko nodded. “Sometimes, when I really need a girlfriend to talk to.”

“But wouldn’t you want to share things with this girlfriend that you would never share with me?”

Mieko smiled and nodded. “Yes, and anything that I tell you as my girlfriend you can never say to my husband. You have to promise that.”
