Seminary student Tony Wagner finds more than he expected when he begins his final summer working in Evergreen National Park.

A serial killer has been hunting America's national parks. When the killer strikes in Evergreen, Tony and fellow ranger Kelly Thiel find the body.

An FBI task force, led by Agent Wyatt Garret, arrives to investigate. Garret interprets Tony's calm under the circumstances as cold-blooded, making him a suspect.

Then, evidence implicates Tony. He will need the whole town of Spruce Lake to help him prove his innocence.
