In this breakthrough book, Dr. Epstein contends that unless we question the myths that control our lives, we will continue to make the same healing choices we have been conditioned to make, even if those choices are killing us. Epstein examines the deeply ingrained stories, or myths, we commonly hold about how our bodies heal — myths that can actually inhibit healing.

The healing myths are divided into four categories — Social, Biomedical, Religious, and New Age. He exposes each myth individually, then suggests an alternative statement, or “Healing Magic,” to help us reclaim our body’s natural ability to heal.
