Description

Swift is a programming language for creating iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS apps. Swift builds on the best of C and Objective-C, without the constraints of C compatibility. Swift adopts safe programming patterns and adds modern features to make programming easier, more flexible, and more fun. Swift’s clean slate, backed by the mature and much-loved Cocoa and Cocoa Touch frameworks, is an opportunity to reimagine how software development works.
This book provides:
- A tour of the language.
- A detailed guide delving into each language feature.
- A formal reference for the language.

First of all the book was shown as 2.2 even though 3.0 is out since some time. Second after I deleted and downloaded again the book showed as corrupt and could not be read. Even after several retries it is still corrupt.

Book updates?

I don’t understand if the book isn’t updated (as it web version) or if the mac version of iBook doesn’t pass update automatically. But, my version isn’t updated. It’s frustrating since Swift is still in development, therefore we need to test everything to be sure that the book is still updated on this point.
The web version on the developer plateform looks to be updated in the same time than Swift.

Very well explained material, with lots of easy to follow examples, which makes it fun to read. Almost feels like an Apple engineer is sitting by you and explaining stuff...
Congrats to all people involved
