White men bad, black people good

Cinematography is good, Robert Pattinson is surprisingly plausible, Paul Dano is great and Zoe Kravitz does what she can with the awful lines thrown her way. The script is abysmal. If someone were to tell me the Batman’s laughable monologues were written by a 12 year old boy I wouldn't fall off my chair in surprise.
There is absolutely nothing new here and it takes an epoch to tell you about it. Sadly there’s an underlying dislike of white folk that weaves its way through the film as evidenced by the casting and the weirdly out of place reference to the ludicrous invention of white privilege which is as sinister as it is bizarre
Nolan films are far superior and arguably so are the Burton movies.
