The prime video app on iphone14 pm doesnt have the convenient fit to screen opt unlike other streaming services. You can play the video either in default version usually with a cm and more black surface on both horizontal and vertical side or with the horrible zoom option. The zoom opt is stupidly designed to fit the upper and lower sides on phone(landscape mode) so it is like cropping the video on left and right edges. Simply make the video fit to screen like other strming services by fitting to left and right edges in landscape mode(even if blank screen remains on upper and lower sides)

The app constantly fails to remember where the last played position of the video is. It even can’t remember which episode of which season you were watching last and will randomly play an already watched episode from the middle! Swipe to fast forward or rewind only works when the controls aren’t visible- but the controls immediately appear as you swipe even once. 8 times out of 10 I’m faced with a “CANT PLAY VIDEO” pop up and only until I retry 2 or 3 times does it finally work! Please learn from Netflix, which has one of the best UI/UX in paid streamers.

I normally had a great experience but this time you gave a tough time . I had a membership which activated by Airtel in prime account which doesn’t have a email id and a mobile number . I don’t understand the stupid thing where the account doesn’t exist but the subscription is activated. To rectify that I get in touch through mobile for several times . Every time different person I have to explain the whole thing and the representative doesn’t have the rights to do any changes in the accounts . So they transfer to the account team . The account team ask the investigative questions which answers are not right . Because as per them I have multiple accounts with same umber . Which personality I am not aware of . After all they have no idea who can solve this . So I don’t understand who will have the same ??

I am writing to share my feedback on the current color palette of your platform. While I appreciate the content and features offered by Prime Video, I find the color scheme to be quite dull and unexciting. I believe that a more vibrant and dynamic color palette could greatly enhance the user experience and make browsing and watching content more enjoyable.
I suggest exploring the use of brighter, more energizing colors that can create a sense of enthusiasm and engagement for viewers. Adding color accents or patterns could also help to break up the monotony of the current design.

The app is great and all no doubt. But why is it that I pay for the prime and even then there are so many things I can’t watch? When I pay for certain subscription I expect I should be able to watch everything there for no extra cost. And this is something every other streaming platform does. The app/web doesn't have the basic option of 1. "log out from all the devices" 2. It should prompt for entering new password in all the devices when we change the password irrespective of whether the device is logged in or not. 3. It is not registering devices if somebody is accessing it through web . Somebody hacked my account and I can not make that person to log out from his device because of unavailability of these basic features. I've changed password, enabled 2 step verification yet I see my devices are not getting logged out unless I do it manually. Because of the person who hacked my account is continuing using my account because he won't be logging out and I can not make him do that . I also can't see his device detail in my account under "registered devices" as well. Calling customer care was a big mistake as they don't have any solution to this. They simply mentioned to change the password and enable 2 step verification. But they don't have any solution to the problem to how to make somebody else log out from his device if his device entry is not showing in the app.

I have been experiencing this problem for quite sometime now- Download option against content never works! I use iPhone and iPad and on both download options simply doesn’t work. There are times and places where connectivity is zero, and in those areas offline watch is the only solution. And the app fully disappoints then! I am a prime member since past 3 years.
Everything is good except for the 70% of the movies I search on prime says that it is not available to waTch in my location. I mean for example, I am a Marathi guy, whose native language is Marathi, who live in Maharashtra, but when I searched a marAthi movie(pyaar wali love story) it is unavailable to watch in my location. Prime video never was good when it comes to buffering. My experience was always just good enough to let it pass but with the new update where the video freezes to a poor quality, pixelated screenshot of the scene and keeps on playing the audio in great quality just ruins the whole experience and drives out the utility of this app! Why was this done? What problem does it solve? Also, the video never resumes. I have to close the window, select the episode again and continue on from there. This clearly shows there’s a bug there and it’s not my internet connection that causes the problem. Kindly look into this.

The app UI is good. But there are some bad experiences I definitely face; be it related to downloading getting stuck if the screen is locked or the content doesn’t download at all. However, the main thing I’d like to highlight today is - subtitles. I don’t know why it has been kept turned on by default. It causes a lot of problem as most of the contents do not require us to use the subtitles. And even when you turn it off manually, it will turn on for the next episode or content or the screen is unlocked.
So, I’d definitely suggest the app developers to keep the subtitles turned off by default or at least add an option to save the last settings.

Mrs. Maisel is the only show on this that’s worth watching. The issue is that the subtitles never come on reliably, and that’s just unacceptable, because this never happens with Disney+ Hoststar or Netflix.
I have to shut down the app and turn it back on multiple times before the subs ever show up. I’ve had to delete the app and re-download it. Nothing works.
The subs work sometimes, and absolutely refuse to turn on at all no matter what I do, at other times. It’s beyond frustrating!
Why is a professionally coded app that showcases the entertainment ventures of an international company so mercurial with regards to its most basic functions?!

This is my first review so please consider it. I have been using prime video for the last 4 years and I want to bring into attention that the app takes surprisingly a lot of storage compare to its competitors like Netflix and Hotstar. It is my request to the developers to sort this issue for example my prime video take 600mb storage where as Netflix which I use the most takes hardly 250mb. Please resolve this issue asap most of us are having hard time managing storage and we cannot always reinstall the app. Thank you

Your app doesn’t have proper resolution like i had been using on samsung s10plus. I just upgraded to iphone 12 pro max but just not get proper view resolution on video the app like before on samsung device. Please correct the issue. Some times automatically correct the aspect ratio when play the video but some time not happen that. When try to adjust manually they appear in full screen mode, make it on full screen which crop some portion of the video. What is the point of you regularly update your app and nothing change. Completely waste off money on iphone.

After 5 min of content play suddenly stuck the video and audio running in the background and then there is no sync up of audio and video. If i forward the video also facing the same issue.
After reopen the video it went well for again 5 min and then the issue starts again.

Some series/movies have some objectionable content, due to this not able to show to children. Make some setting for each series to skip some frames, so while watched the series by children, not able to view skipped item. This settings per user per series per episode.

I reviewed this problem more than a year ago, but the software guys seem to have done NOTHING about it… I'm not quite happy with the way downloading works: it stops if I blank the screen to save power. So there's a lot of advanced planning required to watch content on, say, a flight: plug in to power source three hours before, begin downloads, keep plugged in till downloads are complete. It also appears to me as if the language preference selection is useless. I selected English, yet I continue to get content in languages I don't even understand, simply because of the location I'm in.

I love prime. I got prime for ₹500 a year on youth offer. It’s really worth it. On Netflix you have to pay about ₹7200 for the same thing for a year. On the other hnd I get free delivery, ad free music(❤️❤️) etc. It literally looks like I am promoting prime but its really worth it. Best thing I like on this app is you can watch on 4k with every plan on many screens, not like netflix.

The censor rating that appears on the screen at the start of every video darkens the top 20% of the screen for a few seconds, which would be a issue when starting to see a new episode or movie, but is irritating and covers content when a video is being watched from where we left it last. It would be good if this issue was cleared up to improve visibility and enjoyability of the video.

Although the movies and shows were good but after some time the app didn’t open only... there was no loading and nothing was opening except for a blank screen on which prime was written
It again downloaded the app many times and finally it opened but all my downloads were not there and I had to download them again
And it was taking too long to download and once they were downloaded the app again stopped working

Some episodes stop in the mid way. Irrespective of how many times we try they don’t play. Closing the app or restarting the device too doesn’t help. This is happening on iPad. Have complained this to customer service but in vain. They suggested to unsubscribe the subscription or watch on another device. Do the customer need to switch his device just because you can’t handle or fix the technical glitches. Preposterous and waste of money subscribing only to encounter these kinds of menial glitches which your team is unable to resolve!!! Pathetic

I really appreciate the smooth streaming experience that prime videos give. Even with fluctuating and relatively slower data, it streams smooth and doesn’t take up much data. Best part is the way they express the video quality based on the data consumed per hour which is very useful when you stream using the cellular data.

As of the latest update, there is still no option to mark a movie or show as “watched”.
You can only mark titles that show up in “recommended for you” as Not Interested. Any other place that movie shows up, you can tap and hold but there won’t be an option to remove that eyesore from your feed. And the Not Interested feature is not even that accurate or good. I’ve marked several movies as ‘not interested’ multiple times in the past and they still show up in my recommended. It’s almost like they don’t give a crap about what you wanna watch and what you don’t wanna watch, and will only push the movies they’re paid to advertise heavily on their platform. No, for the 10th time, I do not want to watch Raazi, please stop showing it in my feed.
Also there is no option to remove (or unmark) a title as not interested, so if you accidentally click a movie as not interested it’s gone forever. Netflix has these features nailed down for more than a year now, Prime Video app is lagging behind a lot in the competition.
There is no default separation between movies and tv shows in your watchlist. It’s just one big list. And the filter feature is buggy, after filtering to show only movies or tv shows, you can’t revert to the default list or remove your filter.

Offline player never works

I’ve downloaded couple of episodes of a web series to watch it offline but offline player never works properly. It suddenly stopped playing the video and exit. I’ve to replay the same offline episode at least 25-30 times because it stops working. Sometimes downloaded videos doesn’t even play until you are connected to Internet, it’s just stuck in the loading screen and as soon as I connect to Internet it starts playing. Overall offline player is full of bugs and never works. I’ve tried restarting my device, reinstalling app, updating app but nothing works. Other video streaming services provides much better streaming experience (Netflix and Hotstar are amazing when in terms of offline playing). Overall fed up with this app. If same movie or web series is available somewhere else I would prefer to watch over there.

Inconsistency in streaming quality

I have a 100mbps connection and there’s no reason for the streaming quality to drop, yet multiple times throughout any video, the drop in quality is noticeable on my iPad Air 2. (Although HD indication is still on).
Happy with the content and the subscription comes at a very reasonable annual fee, especially taking into consideration that it gives you access to many other services, and not just prime video.

Hi, every time I forward the movie a bit, note ” streaming with your data plan” comes exactly where the subtitles of the movie is
It becomes difficult to follow especially when you are watching foreign/ regional language movies..
Please move the “streaming with your data plan” notification on top so that there is seamless viewing .

This is worst app to login , it takes a thousand tries to login and that captcha feature is use less it cant recognise itself ,and the app doesn’t inform that what is wrong . If we tried to recover the password through email , the mail does not come it is not like it comes late no , it just simply don’t come , then comes your payment , I don’t have any problem with your only credit card policy but what if didn’t had one ?! , as a Costomer I expect the job to be done in easy ways , your app dont even your payment website its a mess , its not as simple to pay , even if anyone is willing to pay they will not cause of your bad web design and faulty processes!

Sometimes whenever you touch the screen to read something or pause it for a while, and then replay the content again, the top notification bar just stays there, destroying the immersion and making it very, very annoying to watch. Fix that please. Also, downloading issue, the app hesitates to download content almost all of the time for some reason, it just won’t download anything and will be stuck on the “stop download” button and won’t progress the download. Also, I do suspect that the download quality for iPad has been reduced (and no this isn’t because of quarantine). Other than that, a good app nonetheless. The ability to download your content is great.

I don’t know what is happening to this app, you guyz just keep uploading south movies or even Bollywood movies in all languages except hindi. The whole website is just filled with different language movies but hindi. Saaho is available in every language except hindi & so many more movies. Here in north india people are losing interest in you app. Others apps like hotstar & zee are offering amazing new content and you guyz are filling your website with south movies. I mean I love watching south movies but if I can’t understand them so what’s the use of paying you guyz. Your app was so great in the start but you are just losing the game now.

When Prime video came up on my phone screen as a complimentary offer with a lower subscription charge I was very sceptical to use it . I was not sure how the app would work , if we had to pay anything apart from what we have already paid to watch new releases. But once you open the app , trust me , it’s so addictive. This app is the pinacle of stupidiy. What kind of service are you actually providing? Why do i have to pay over and over again if i have already subscribed to your app. Such a scam. And the collection of shows and movies is absolute trash. Im surprised how people actually still use this application. I dont think you stand a chance against Netflix. Atleast they dont scam their customers with in-app payments after they have already subscribed. And just so you know, most of the tv shows and movies cannot be viewed in my region. If they cannot be viewable then why make the app available to that region. The kind of collection i get to watch where i stay is pathetic. I regret joining your app and i will make sure that i keep other people away from falling for your scam and tricks.

Even after being a paid premium app, there’s always glitch in playing the downloaded video. I’m frequent travel and travel to remote places where there’s no accessibility for internet. I really on this application I download the videos and now I doesn’t play what’s the problem it recently started happening like this, I have been using prime and Netflix almost for 3years now. The only reason I’m still have as well because of the few shows I’m still following. I’ll be done using this if this the case if you cannot fix the problem.

I love the app, its content and the pricing is also extremely affordable but I have been facing serious issues with the streaming and audio of the certain videos. It’s not a network issue for sure as the same content with the same network on a different device works perfectly fine.
The audio associated with the content is quite distorted and doesn’t sync with the video at some times and at other times the video stops randomly while the audio continues to play.
Kindly look into the problem and I’ll be more than happy to give it a 5 star rating.

I am just so disappointed ☹️ with your movie 🎥 collection. I could not find one movie of interest. Please update your playform with bew movies especially hollywood and at least recent years movies should be classified. There is just Hollywood movies > and then bunch randomly indexed movies. I am not even sure what to watch after looking at that page.
Please update ur collection. Also, Deustchland season 2 is available but not the season 1. How is that??? Please make it better in this sense.

Most of the recently added movie are south based language which no one can understand except their state person.
Please add some option to hide or choose language option in menu so only selected language movie or tv cam be only show in menu.
I only know Hindi and English where as none of your tamil telgu kannada movie required for me, pls eliminate those for each subscriber...
And also add content in hindi for horror and hollywood dubbed movie and still of you show kannad or anyother regional movie pls arrange those movie in hindi language also.

The app and its UI are great by themselves. However, the app critically lacks major titles. Many titles from US Store are missing. Besides, not enough creators make content for Prime. They have been focussing on making content for India however they only do so in Hindi, often ignoring the English shows. As a result, even though they make content for India, people looking for English shows are left out as some US Titles pulled away and no Indian English shows are made.
There are a few minor problems. There is no option to switch streaming quality in the player. Sorting of shows and movies isn’t good enough. X-Ray also occasionally refuses to show up on my iPhone player whereas it is always there on the iPad.

Low speed streaming option should be added. Video should not pause while checking notifications on notification panel, app takes to main screen and then resume video once notification panel is closed. But this should not happen. Video should be paused at same screen else it should go on as we have option to go back or forward video by 10 seconds. Performance can be improved along with contents.

1. It lags HD consistent clarity...sometimes the picture is in ultra hd and other times its blur and all...netflix clarity is required.
2. Most imp thing is tht it should have an option to cast from device to tv...so tht one can download on mobile or tab and then stream it to tv...it will consume less data...
3. Tv shows r not as good as compared to netflix and no live sports...which makes it boring after some time.
I hope someone at the other end will take a note of the points and will revert back with a response.

And if you are still listening please could you include “genre” alongside the rest of the movie/series details and not restrict to just the dashboard/homepage. Poor movie collection & bad streaming!

really disappointed that there are no all famous or hit latest movies along with some very poor movie collection in both English & Hindi genre. The movies are old and many of flop films are there which are useless to any movie lover. Also, I am using a very high speed internet connection still it takes a lot of time to load and clear out the pixels to give me HD experience.
Please improve both the problems at once by including major hit films (recent and past) of both Bollywood and Hollywood (giving a large selection instead of a very small collection at present) and sorting out streaming issue as mentioned. Thank you.

This iOS App was very much accessible for VoiceOver users, in the latest version, the VoiceOver Accessibility is partially broken, Can't access any tabs plus there's a lot of focus issues are going on, kindly fix these issues at the earliest, otherwise the App was very nice.
