Crashing of Google docs and functions not working

I have been encountering a lot of problems upon using my google doc application after the latest update.
1. Earlier it use to show the word count of selected portion along with total portion eg- 1200 out of 1600. Now the total portion word count is only shown. Such features are there in MS Word.
2. The find and replace has become impossible. As soon as I put anything on it the whole application crashes and shuts down.
3. The overall function of google docs has become very very slow. To the point that I’m think I’m going to quit using it anymore.
I had been using it for more than 6 years! Never seen such a poor performance

I’d say this is a terrible UX, compared to the browser (Safari) experience. There is a huge headspace wasted on an unnecessary ribbon that serves no function at all. Bunch of functionality is tucked several layers inside, rather than on the surface.

This app is great but it needs an option to embed videos from the device storage and embed videos in general. also on iPad the mobile app, please make it so that you can open two docs at once like two safari windows, similar to that, because for projects I need to open two at once (notes and final) and on iPad I cannot do that. Can write down simple and basic documents (which I usually don’t).
For a full fledged academic essay, it is yet difficult to type and format on a phone or iPad. It’s probably the best you can get out of this, but the problems with each display orientation makes it difficult to start a new essay and create a structure. Light editing from your laptop is okay. But things like footnoting and bibliography generators are yet missing!
People now use note apps to write something small. When it’s time to write something formal, which requires Docs, it just isn’t the most convenient.
But for light editing, and shared files, it is the best you can get. Continuity is the bet feature, which puts it ahead of Pages and even Word.
Really need to figure out the general layout and need to work on how the 3D Touch keyboard works in the app.

I think that what I like the most is the decency you can have on this, like your storage won’t get over and your file will get saved if your computer died or fell asleep in between

As soon I switch to any other app or just lock screen for even a second it automatically closes the document. Then again I have to open the document and scroll down waiting to happen it again (although it doesn’t happen every time), it is annoying and defying the purpose of an iPad and Google docs as using multiple applications should be easy.

Just can’t see a flaw in this app but if there are any, just make some effort in correcting it. Can see perfection in this and the great thing is that it is jus perfect with the right things of MS Word already incorporated in it and best thing is that it also doesn’t need a subscription like the Microsoft Office apps on my iPad Pro which is the main reason people go for it and the title of the best alternative for Word actually suits it.

Its so useful for us who are the writers by profession. Its as good as word file and linked with Google. Absolutely there is no harm in changing mobile set or the subscriber. You need to remember only Google ID and password.
But there is no option for designing table. I would request to provide that table option in docs.

Everything is great except the keyboard. When I type fast, the keyboard starts flickering. I don’t know how to explain, but a lot of glitches are seen in the appearance of the keyboard while typing fast. This happens only when I use docs or sheets.
