I’m enjoying the Duet Display experience. Works very well wired and wireless, with hardly any lag on the latter.
Was a great workaround for using my iPad Air2 as a 2nd display with my 2015 Mac Book Pro that doesn’t have Sidecar.
I use my Mac with a Windows VM running on Parallels Desktop, and with Duet I have a dual display system that works very well with applications on both operating systems.

There is a slight noticeable lag in the mouse movement because of which you would not like to use the connected iPad as your main working screen. Other than that it works like a breeze. Using it with iMac (Catalina), Windows 10 and Windows 7. It took a little while to get it to work with Windows 7. The support was there to hand hold, though the replies came after 24 hrs, which could be attributed to time zone differences.
A good functional expensive asset that was lying idle / waste has been resurrected productively. Using it as the 3rd screen while working on the table and as an easy to carry 2nd screen when travelling. Best part is that you get to use the touch navigation of the iPad.
Money well spent.

I purchased the Pro version as it promised I could use my iPad (7th gen) as a graphics pad. I needed it urgently for my work. But gestures were not working. I am in my trial period and my subscription with payment gets activated in 2 days. Still struggling and unable to get gestures to work. I emailed support thrice in last 2 days but I got no response. Very disappointed. I’ll try another day and then uninstall it.

I am a video editor and a graphic designer. So I tried using it as my second screen while editing, but there is a serious lag. I am using 2019 latest iPad and Mac with all upgraded software but still this lag. In fact I was very much looking up to this app and it was my first choice since I saw the video ad. I think the Duet Team must take this response positively and improve on making the best choice app again. Strange connected lines with photoshop

My only use case of duet and duet pro is usage with photoshop. Unfortunately, while drawing strokes, there are strange straight lines connecting to the last position of previous stroke. It’s as if the pen was never lifted up. This makes it pretty useless. Is there any fix for this? Otherwise I’m afraid I’ll have to cancel my pro purchase. Thanks.

Good product and it works flawlessly on Mac and iPad. Even the remote login works well. Support is one of the best I experienced. A day back I installed the duet app and was not working due to some issues due to cable and I was not sure how to connect iPad and Mac over the air. Dropped a mail and thought would get reply after few days but to my surprise got reply within 10mins flat and then we exchanged few mails to make the app work. Thanks to the Sergio from the support team.

The app is good for extending and mirroring but has lag. It did not pick the right resolution in PC part of software, for my Air. Also, inking feature did not work with MS Word when moved to iPad and used with Apple Pencil. This has limited utility. My impression is to treat it for touch and display only. I am using duet pro with windows 10 and I use it on photoshop with iPad Pro. Similar to a cintiq or Astropad studio. The duet pro seems to have taken up some Photoshop shortcut keys. So, when I’m zooming in or zooming out , something else is also happening. I think it’s interfering with other software settings somewhat. My Logitech Options seemed to stop working. So, I uninstalled this app. Then reinstalled Photoshop. Now, Photoshop is working fine and I am afraid to reinstall Duet display. This app is good but not worth messing Photoshop up.

If you’re considering using this as a sort of Wacom Cintiq for your Mac/ Windows: don’t! The lag is truly horrible even in the most lightweight of sketching applications like Rebelle 3 and Autodesk Sketchbook. It’s so bad it’s completely unusable.
BUT THE WORST part is that when you first launch the app, it’ll offer you a 1 week Pro trial that’s supposed to optimize the experience for digital art (ha!). I chose that one, thinking I could always cancel in the next 1 week ifI decided not to keep it. Got an email minutes later saying that my purchase for the Pro version was successful. Went to the App store and checked my subscriptions, and sure enough, it charged my card on the very same day. Said it would renew exactly a year from the day I first installed the app. This is clear deception; every other app that offers a trial period does NOT charge you before the trial period expires. Needless to say, that’s Rs.3,000 gone down the drain.
Oh and did I mention that the resolution on the mirrored display is absolutely terrible? Defeats the whole purpose, really. If this is what the ‘pro’ version is, I shudder to think what the Air and the Free versions are like. Also the iPad got REALLY hot during use- I don’t think it’s ever run that warm before.
Bottom line: It’s an absolute waste of money, just wait for iPadOS and Sidecar on your Mac and use that. Or just hook up a Wacom to your computer. Just stay away from Duet.

Latest update makes it flawless

After a long wait and a number of updates and failed launches, Duet now finally works with 0 errors and issues. It’s what I always wanted, as an efficient 3rd display with my MBP and I satisfies everything one would want as a small but a handy external display.

Problems with apps on pc

After installing duet pro, any app that I open on windows exits automatically, photoshop stuck on starting screen, blender stops unexpectedly, and every app on my pc becomes useless.
Problem is gone when I uninstalled duet app from windows.
Plz fix this issue

Thanks duet team for the support and introducing me to the new version of duet windows. All the above mentioned problems are gone and it works flawlessly with Apple Pencil.

Problem with Adobe Software

On installing the duet desktop client for windows, none of the Adobe Softwares could be started. They kept hanging while opening. I think this is due to GPU acceleration duet uses. But that is totally unacceptable for me. I could not use these software even when duet was closed. So I had to uninstall it. Wasted my money.

They have mentioned on thier site that it has ipad keyboard support. When I asked them after purchasing, they said it has physical keyboard support. So I have to spend few more bucks to but that huh? Can't get refund because App store policy doesn't allow. It don't make you productive. Belive me.

Finally today duet display satisfied my purchase of ipad. I wanted an ipad as well as a secondary display. But i was upset as i was not able to extend my pc screen. Finally duet display did it. Its a million dollars application. Kudos to the developer.

The reason I downloaded this application was that I wanted to use it with my AutoDesk Revit application, which unfortunately crashes every time if I have duet installed on my laptop. Other wise great application, I loved the concept and idea behind it, but unfortunately didn't work for me. Giving one star for now. Shall change the rating if I get my money back.

I had purchased this for my ipad and mac. Unfortunately there is a persistent connectivity issue with my mac. I have tested this with my windows laptop and it works fine. I thought that the experience would be smooth and without any glitches. But it is not so.
