Matt Dawson meets Martin Johnson: 20 years on

Matt Dawson meets Martin Johnson: 20 years on

World Cup winners Martin Johnson and Matt Dawson look back on England's triumph in 2003.
Durée : 48:38
Two of England's heroes from 2003, Matt Dawson and Martin Johnson, look back on their World Cup triumph 20 years on. In part one, they chart England's journey from quarter-finalists in 1999 to World Cup finalists four years later. But how much of their success was down to the players rather than the coaches? We also hear why defeat in two Grand Slam deciders were just as important as a famous victory in Bloemfontein on their tour to South Africa in 2000. They also talk rest weeks and captaincy before reliving their quarter-final battle with Wales in Brisbane and the semi-final victory over France and a very unhappy Olivier Magne in Sydney.

Perfect to know all the news of UK’s rugby from France.
As a rugby coach I Love it when you talk to coaches about management.

Great pod!

As a Frenchman, it pains me to admit that this English rugby union podcast is the best one in the whole wild word. Danny Care is a natural and is a great addition to the pod! If you could give your views on the top 14 every now and then that would be even better ;)

French letter!

Listen every week from my retreat on La Montagne Noire, down here in South France , my local teams are Castres and Toulouse. The programme would be EVEN better with the occasional input about Top Quatorze . Otherwise great podcast...Keep up the good work boys!
