Recovering from a big event like a marathon is not as simple as having a few days off and then getting back to usual programming.
There are a number of physiological processes and systems that are impacted when we endure or push our limits for an extended time.
In this episode, Sophie explains some of the science behind why our bodies take a while to recover as well as some guidelines to think about your own recovery timelines and expectations.
