Joe was CISO at UBER when they got hit by cybercrooks. What did Joe do? He hid it. He paid the criminals $100k under a phony bug bounty, had them sign an NDA, and had them promise they didn't steal any data (Data that later wound up on darkweb markets).
But it gets worse. Joe Sullivan knew who the attackers were and remained silent as they went and victimized other companies.
