After the success of the series’ inaugural episode in September, which drew in 90 innovators in photonics across Europe, #Photonpreneurs returned . Episode 2 featured as main speaker Sylvie Menezo, Founder and CEO of SCINTIL Photonics, a company based in Grenoble (France) that develops and markets silicon photonic integrated circuits. Sylvie locked in conversation with her co-founder Pascal Langlois, who also stands as Chairman of the Board for SCINTIL Photonics, is a member of the board of Teem Photonics, and is an advisor to a variety of companies in the industry.

Sylvie and Pascal took centre stage to share their background and entrepreneurial journey to date and share some of the wisdom that they have gathered on how to raise capital and run a deeptech company. Attendees were able to learn about the arduous path from research to entrepreneurship, the ups and downs of launching a business, the journey from launching a venture up to scale a business as CEO.
