In this agency-filled interview with Ananda, we discuss the daily opportunity to return to our fundamental choice about how we want to relate to whatever comes into our lives--including a cancer diagnosis and her genetic testing results. From choosing humor as an emotional life-vest to ride the waves of her cancer experience, to choosing to see cancer and her BRCA2 mutation as just one small part of her identity, this conversation with Ananda was a perfect addition to the podcast. 

Bio: 

I am a 51-year-old vegan, a long-distance runner, altitude lover, and attentive to health and fitness since childhood. I am married, an animal lover and animal parent. I am Chilean on my mother’s side, USAan on my father’s, and Swiss by choice. I carry the BRCA2 mutation and had breast cancer at 50. I chose a double mastectomy with reconstruction and a salpingo-oophorectomy. I have seen much of the world, through work and personal travel, and recognise my life as profoundly privileged, which compels me to live with gratitude and humour.
