From paris, this podcast made me discovered a lovely face of america and americans! It true, smart, funny, easy to understand, deep and smooth at the same time! this podcast gave me an other side of americans, it's good on such an americanophobic time!

This American Life is by far the best English podcast on iTunes. The show gives a wonderful cross-section of the American culture and beautifully illuminates the qualities that make America what it is. Its stories can be funny, sad, infuriating, perplexing, and just down-right entertaining all at the same time. If you want to hear about the America that doesn't make it to the evening news, this off-beat podcast is the place to go. Not every show will appeal to you, but you are sure to find the occasional one that will simply stop you in your tracks and make you say, "Now that's what a radio program is meant to be like!"
